About Us
About 101 Legal Ways
101 Legal Ways is a public interest education and information resource on the Canadian legal and education systems. The law should not be a secret language reserved only for courtrooms, and educational rights should not be buried in complex administrative codes. We explain the rules in plain language, with dates and links to official sources.
Our Philosophy
Knowledge is the foundation of self-advocacy. By empowering the public with reliable, accessible information, we aim to build a more informed, confident, and legally aware community.
What we cover
- Immigration updates from IRCC, the IRB and the Federal Court
- Court rulings and tribunal decisions
- Provincial offences
- Understanding the education system in Canada
- Work and employment rights
- Legal and public interest issues
Who we write for
Canadian residents, newcomers, international students and workers, parents and students, and Canadians living or travelling abroad.
What we are not
101 Legal Ways is not a law firm or a legal service provider. Articles are general information, not legal advice. For advice on your own situation, speak to a licensed lawyer, paralegal or immigration consultant, or a legal clinic.
