B.C. raises hotel tax rate in Thompson-Nicola area to 3% on Nov. 1

British Columbia says the Municipal and Regional District Tax in the Thompson-Nicola Regional District, covering the District of Clearwater and Electoral Area A, rises from 2% to 3% effective November 1, 2026. The province also updated its MRDT location map.
